The Galileo System provokes side-alternating vibratory muscle stimulation. Another name for the system is ‘whole body vibration’. With the Galileo device, vibrations are produced in the body through which muscles and bones are stimulated. The exercising patient stands on an electrically powered rocker. Through the side alternating movement of the rocker physiological movement patterns, as used in walking and running, are stimulated. The stimulation is therefore not limited to isolated muscle groups, but is the coordinated activity of complete muscle chains.

The Galileo – Goals are:

  • Increase of muscle strength and muscle performance
  • Increase of bone mass and bone stability
  • Increase flexibility and mobility
  • Improved balance and reduced fall risk
  • Improved cardiovascular and lymph circulation
  • Pain reduction
